A family ran business that started from a determined father and a daughters broken balloon
More than Balloons
How it all Happened
Our story
It started simple, my sister's balloon broke, and our dad couldn't fix it. Instead of giving up, he went to the library. He checked out every book he could find on balloon art and spent weeks practicing until he could not just fix a balloon, but twist them in order to be able to entertain both me and my big sister.
Once he had the skill, he started doing it for family parties and gatherings. Kids went crazy for it. Every birthday, every celebration, he was there twisting balloons and making kids light up. It wasn't a business yet. It was just pure love for making people smile.

Then something magical happened, word of mouth took over. One family told another. A neighbor saw the kids at a party and asked for a card. Friends of friends started calling. No ads, no flyers, just the reputation of a man who showed up, worked hard, and made every child feel special.
I grew up watching my dad do this. I wasn't just a kid at the parties — I was right there alongside him, learning every twist and fold. It became our thing. Father and son, working events together, building something real. I didn't just inherit a business, I lived it. Here is another article written by my old High School on my efforts to keep the business alive.

I'm now the owner of Cruzzing Balloons, carrying forward everything my dad built. The same heart. The same hustle. The same commitment to making every child smile. What started at the library because of a broken balloon has become one of San Diego's most trusted family entertainment brands.
